Foot Reflexology First Treatment | 75 minutes – £40

The feet are representative of the whole body, the right foot being the right side of the body & the left representing the left side. The position of reflexes on the soles of the feet reflects the corresponding organs & parts of the body, the big toe being the head, from the big toe to heal down the inner edge of the foot is the spine and the heal representing the sciatic.
Reflexology is not a form of foot massage however there are relaxation techniques used within your session as part of the reflexology treatment. I will use effleurage and smoothing techniques to relax and warm the foot. Foot relaxation techniques are a key part of helping to engage with the client, putting you at ease and as a means of applying the medium for the treatment. Relaxation techniques will also warm up the foot at the start of the treatment session and reconnect with each foot alternatively between the focussed technique applications.

An initial consultation and treatment will require additional time (between 75 and 90 minutes) to allow me to discuss your medical history with you including any medical conditions you are currently diagnosed with and medications you are currently taking. I will also ask you general details such as wellbeing and activities, and your treatment reasons, aims and objectives. It is important to let me know if you have any allergies so that I can review the product mediums used for your treatment. For example, you may have an allergy to ingredients within the products used such as lavender, and these will be avoided.

Hand Reflexology Recurring Appointment | 45 minutes – £35

Hand reflexology works along the same principles as reflexology on the feet using a body map for the reflex zones on the left and right hands. It uses similar reflexology techniques with pressure applied on various reflex points around your hands which correlate to different body parts. Hand reflexology can be used on anyone. It may be an individual preference or where foot reflexology may not be possible due to injury, infection, or an underlying condition that relates to the foot or parts of it. This treatment can be booked after an initial treatment and consultation.

Hot Stone Reflexology First Treatment | 75 minutes – £45

Hot Stone Reflexology is a soothing and relaxing treatment which works on the feet and the lower part of the legs working the reflexes in the same way as a general reflexology treatment. This treatment uses basalt stones, sometimes referred to as lava stones which are known for their healing properties and iron-rich content which help to retain heat. It can be a marvellously comforting treatment in the colder months and provide a deep, relaxing experience for clients.

Indian Head Massage First Treatment | 75 minutes – £35

Indian Head Massage is based on the ancient system of medicine known as Ayurveda. This has been in practice in India for thousands of years. The Ayurveda view of health is physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing and is maintained by the balance of the 3 life giving forces or doshas: vata, pita, and kapha. In Indian culture, this treatment is traditionally done at the barbers or in a family setting amongst family members with focus on only the head.

Some of the many benefits of Indian Head Massage include promotion of rest and relaxation, reduction of stress, elevation of mood, prevention of headaches, promotion of healthy hair growth, and the support of clearer thinking. A variety of techniques are used including effleurage, petrissage, percussion, compression, friction or vibration.

This treatment can be done seated or on the massage table. During this treatment I will focus on the shoulder girdle, hands, arms, neck and head. You have the option to have the treatment without oils fully clothed or with oils wrapped in a towel. It is up to you! Both are very relaxing and beneficial.

Reflexology Taster | 30 minutes – £20

Whilst ‘tasters’ do not offer the same therapeutic benefit as a full therapy, a ‘taster’ will offer an insight into the experience of hand and foot reflexology here at The Head Space and what it feels like alongside a chance to talk to you about the many benefits these therapies have to offer.
An Indian Head massage taster can also be booked but is dependent on your main booking requirements with The Head Space. For example, an Indian head massage taster can be enjoyed as a taster prior to your hair cut appointment but not during or after your hair appointment.

Taster treatments are an ideal introduction to complementary therapies and make the perfect accompaniment to your visit and experience at The Head Space.

Wellbeing has become an essential and enriching element in the business of life. Tŷ Adweitheg Reflexology Therapies aims to support The Head Space in making you feel a sense of wellbeing from the moment you enter and beyond the time you leave. Whilst you are with us, our space will be your space.

A bit about taster treatments:

  • You will receive the same level of professionalism for your treatment in the same way as you would for a full reflexology treatment
  • You will be made to feel comfortable whilst you have your treatment so that you can relax for the time you are with me
  • Standards of hygiene are practised in the same way, with the use of couch roll coverings, antibacterial cleaning of the chair or couch used in between treatments, the use of antibacterial foot wipes, and hand washing and hand gel used before and after every treatment.
  • A mini consultation will need to be undertaken to ensure that the taster treatment can go ahead following the same standards as a full treatment. This will take around 5 minutes and where possible may be filled out prior to having your taster treatment.
  • Aftercare advice and information will be provided to you and an opportunity to make contact after the event discussed so that you can feel fu
